India’s veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan has hailed Virat Kohli’s willpower and dedication to succeed in international cricket and said that the latter always dreamt big.
In an interview, Dhawan talked about his learning from Virat Kohli and revealed that the star cricketer’s aggression and his skills to channelize that into performance has been the key learnings for him.
“Virat’s willpower and zeal is very strong, if he wants to do something, he will do it. He channelizes his aggression into performance. When he’s batting, he channelizes his energy.“, Dhawan said in an interview with Karishma Mehta.
Dhawan further added that Kohli always dreamt big and stayed positive despite going through rough phase in his career.
“He always dreamt big. Like when he started his career and was getting out early, he used to remain positive and aim for a century in the next match. Even if he is going through a bad phase, he always remains positive”, the Indian opener further added.

Dhawan, who laste played for India in 2022, also opened up about his snub from national squad and terned it as ‘god’s will’.
Shikhar Dhawan will next be seen leading the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024.
