England Cricket Team head coach Brendon McCullum has claimed that they are looking forward to the Virat Kohli. There still remains a confusion about Virat Kohli’s return to the IND vs ENG Test series. McCullum has claimed that Kohli’s inclusion will improve India’s squad.
Virat Kohli opted out of the first 2 Test matches citing personal reasons. Reports claim that he can miss the third Test match as well. Kohli is currently in UK with his wife, expecting the birth of his second child.
“Virat’s one of the greatest players of the game has seen. No doubt it improves this squad. As we have said throughout, the depth in Indian cricket, the talent in India is immense. So we respect every opposition player that we come up against,” Brendon McCullum told TalkSport.
India made a sensational comeback into the series after losing the Hyderabad Test. The hosts stormed their way to clinch a win in the Vizag Test. With reports claiming that Kohli can make a comeback, it would greatly improve India’s batting strength and team in general.
“If Virat is coming back… we hope everything is well with his family. We will look forward to that challenge too. He is a great competitor. I know him very well and I enjoyed playing against him, I enjoyed our team playing against him. And if you have success against the best, I am sure you have earned it,” McCullum concluded.
