India cricket team captain Rohit Sharma recently opened up about his teammate Rishabh Pant, praising the wicketkeeper-batter’s ability to bring laughter and positivity to the team.

During a podcast appearance on “Club Prairie Fire,” Rohit Sharma revealed that Rishabh Pant is the one player who consistently makes him laugh.

“All the youngsters are quite energetic,” Sharma said, “but if anyone makes me laugh the most, it’s Rishabh Pant. He’s one crazy guy!”

Rohit Sharma further expressed his admiration for Rishabh Pant’s journey, having witnessed his talent blossom from a young age.

“I’ve been watching him since he was a kid,” Sharma shared. “I was quite disappointed for him when he missed a year and a half due to that incident [referring to a car accident Pant was involved in 2021]. I’m truly glad he’s back on the field.”

Appreciating Rishabh Pant unique style

Rohit Sharma also highlighted Pant’s unique brand of humor and on-field energy. “He’s quite witty, the kind of stuff he does behind the stumps,” Sharma said. “He has his own way of doing it, and that’s what I like about him.”

Pillar of Positivity

Rohit Sharma even revealed that Rishabh Pant’s positive spirit transcends situations. “Even when he was injured and not playing,” Sharma recalled, “he was still at his best. When I need to laugh, I call him. He’ll say something and all of us will burst into laughter.”
