Kemar Roach does the job for West Indies – Kemar Roach was the architect of the West Indies win as he scalped seven wickets in the match, including a fifer in the second innings. The West paceman was well supported by his other colleagues in the first innings as they bundled out Bangladesh for just 103.
The task was well in the sight for the hosts as they scored the required total on Day 4 of the match. While Bangladesh did show resilience in the second innings by scoring 245 runs, they couldn’t prevent the ultimate embarrassment at the hands of the Caribbeans.

- West Indies’ win sees them secure 43.75 win percent points which sees them at sixth position.
- Champions New Zealand are on 29.17 win percent points and sit below them.
- The crushing defeat for Bangladesh sees them sit rock bottom at ninth position in the standings with 14.81 win percent points.
- The defeat for Bangladesh has all but evaporated their chances to make it to the top two as they now face an improbable task of making it to the WTC finals next year.
- West Indies will now look to seal a whitewash over Bangladesh, which could see them close the gap on Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the standings.

- Australia are still sitting top of the pile with 75 win percent points and are yet to lose a match in the current WTC standings.
- As things stand Australia and South Africa will qualify for the final next year, however there are plenty of ups and downs still remaining in the course of the WTC 2021-23 cycle.
- 2021 WTC runners-up India sit third in the standings with 58.33 win percent points, which lower than second-place South Africa (71.43).
