Along with the ten venues for the massive event, which will take place in India over the course of 46 days later this year, the schedule for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has also been made public on Tuesday (June 27). The timings which are divided into two sections have also been revealed.
On October 5, England and New Zealand square off in a rematch of the 2019 Final in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium to kick off the World Cup.
While on October 8, hosts India play five-time World Cup champion Australia in Chennai to open their campaign.
The showcase tournament will feature a total of 10 teams, the first eight of whom have previously qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The Qualifier competition in Zimbabwe, which ends on July 9, will determine the remaining two slots.
The top four teams advance to the knockout stage and semifinals after each team plays the other nine teams in a round-robin style.
ICC World Cup 2023 Match Timing
The match timings of ICC World Cup 2023 are pretty straightforward for most of the days. As generally the World Cup matches will start at 14:00 (2:00 PM IST).
But on every Saturdays (except the last one), the double headers will take place in the marquee event. The first match on the double-header day will start at 10:30 AM IST. While the other one will get underway at 14:00 as usual.

- Saturday 07 October – Bangladesh vs Afghanistan at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala
- Saturday 14 October – New Zealand vs Bangladesh at Chidambaram, Chennai
- Saturday 21 October – Q1 vs Q2 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpai Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow
- Saturday 28 October – Australia vs New Zealand at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala
- Saturday 04 November – New Zealand vs Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
- Sunday 12 November – Australia vs Bangladesh at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune
Tournament Venues
Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata will be among the ten locations.
The warm-up games will be played in Hyderabad, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Thiruvananthapuram from September 29 to October 3.
