ICC Women’s ODI rankings: Smriti Mandhana moves to 4th spot

In her most recent ODI series, Mandhana scored 63 runs at an average of over 31 with scores of 34 and 29 against Australia.

Indian batter Smriti Mandhana on Tuesday jumped two places in the latest ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings. Mandhana, who was ranked number 6 in the rankings, moved to number 4.

The Indian southpaw only trails England’s Nat Sciver Brunt, Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu and Australia’s Beth Mooney now. Mandhana took the place of South African batter Laura Wolvaardt, who dropped to fifth place in the rankings following a lackluster performance in the ODI series against Australia. The opening batter only managed seven runs at a 2.33 average against Alyssa Healy and co in the two ODIs so far.

In her most recent One Day International (ODI) series, Mandhana scored 63 runs at an average of over 31 with scores of 34 and 29 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium against Australia in a bilateral series.

Mandhana has been one of the most successful batters in ODI scoring 3242 runs in 82 matches for India Women’s.

Mandhana will now turn her attention Women’s Premier League where she will don the jersey of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

To talk about the ICC Women’s ODI Bowling rankings, Indian spinner Deepti Sharma dropped to No.4 after losing 1 place in the rankings. While Kate Cross and Hayley Matthews moved 2 places up.
