ICC to launch World Cup Theme Song, Ranveer Singh to feature in official Anthem

The official theme song of the World Cup will be released on September 20 (Wednesday) at 12:00PM IST.

The 2023 World Cup is set to start on October 5 with the defending champs England taking on the finalists of the last time New Zealand. Meanwhile, the ICC is set to launch the official Anthem on September 20 (Wednesday). The theme song will feature the likes of Ranveer Singh and Dhanashree Verma. To note, the anthem is titled ‘Dil Jashn Bole’, which is composed by popular music composed Pritam.

In a poster uploaded by ICC on the social media platforms, prominent actor Ranveer is seen wearing navy blue shirt, paired with maroon-coloured blazer and matching hat. In the background, fans from different countries can also be seen. As per the post, the theme will released on Wednesday (September 20) at 12 pm IST.

Hosts India begin their campaign on October 8 against five-time World Cup winners Australia in Chennai. A total of ten teams will take part at the marquee event. Each team plays the other nine in a round robin format with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals.

Meanwhile, The Men in Blue are preparing for the upcoming bilateral series against Australia. Rohit Sharma and Co. are coming to the series after winning the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, BCCI recently announced the squad for the upcoming series against the Aussies. While keeper-batter KL Rahul will be leading the Indian contingent in the first two games of the series.

The likes of Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and skipper Rohit Sharma will make a comeback in the final match of the series. On the other hand, Australia are coming to India after losing their previous series against South Africa. However, the Men in Yellow have been in emphatic form especially with the bat and will want to continue their dominating run against the home team.
