ICC Test Rankings: Ravindra Jadeja replaces Jason Holder – Ravindra Jadeja has once again captured the No.1 spot in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Test all-rounders ranking after impressing against Sri Lanka. The Indian team which won the series 2-0 against Sri Lanka saw Jadeja return to the fold as he amassed 201 runs and scalp 10 wickets in the two-match Test series. Back with a Bang – Ravindra Jadeja, 33, was a major miss for the Indian team in the last few months after he was out with knee troubles. He missed the important series against South Africa and West Indies but didn’t take time to make his presence felt as he scored an unbeaten 175 against Sri Lanka in the Mohali Test. He was also impressive with the ball as he scalped a fifer in the first innings and followed that with a four-wicket haul in the second innings. He was adjourned ‘Man of the Match’ for his performance in the opening Test.

Two Indians in Top 3 – Alongside Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin joins the party in third place. With 341 ranking points, he is 16 short of second place Holder (357) and far from his teammate Jadeja (385). Ashwin, who is now India’s second-highest wicket-taker in the longest format with 442 wickets, managed to scalp 12 wickets alongside a fifty to his name in the series against Sri Lanka.

Four Indians in top 20 – There was a significant rise for Shradul Thakur after he entered the top 20 of the list. Shardul was impressive in the Test series against South Africa, where India were unlucky to lose the series 1-2. He is joined by Axar Patel at 15th in the rankings. He was only available for the second Test where he scalped three wickets.
The list contains the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes and Australia’s Mitchell Starc to complete the rest of the top 10.
