ICC T20 World Cup: Which venue has been most affected due to rain?
MCG at Melbourne has produced three no-result games within a span of three days. The forecast predicted for mega India vs Pakistan clash was also not great. Rain gods though showed some mercy. But after that game in Melbourne, it is continuously raining at the MCG.
Rainy season in Australia .. Stadium in Melbourne with roof on .. !!!!! Wouldn’t it have been sensible to use it ??? #JustSaying #ICCT20WorldCup2022
— Michael Vaughan (@MichaelVaughan) October 28, 2022
Michael Vaughan has slammed ICC and Australia for not using a roof at MCG stadium in Melbourne in the rainy season. The former England captain questioned Melbourne as the venue of the mega Australia vs England clash even when forecast predicted 80% chances of rain on October 28. He further stated with a roof on, the match could at least have been played. Interestingly, an indoor match was played at MCG stadium in 2005. Since then, we have not seen the roof in the matches played here.
For the unreserved, only one game is left to be played in Melbourne – the match between India vs Zimbabwe on November 6.
What is the weather forecast for the remaining matches of the T20 World Cup 2022?
Apart from Melbourne, the remaining venues in Australia have so far been cleared of rain. The forecast predicted by Australian MET department for the remaining games is good.

Fans slam ICC for hosting T20 World Cup in Australia in the rainy season
Fans have come hard down at ICC for hosting T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia during a rainy season in October and November. They feel the tournament could have been postponed or changed to a non-rainy season.
Why do they conduct ICC Tournaments when the host country is having a rainy season? SO many matches have already been abandoned in Australia due to rain! #ICCT20WorldCup #ICCT20WorldCup2022

Three games have been already washed out so far in this T20 World Cup 2022. It’s pathetic for the fans and the teams also 🙁 . Specially Melbourne has been a rain curtailed venue in Australia.#SAvZIM #NZvAFG #AFGvIRE #T20WorldCup #T20WC2022 @CricketAus

This is just ridiculous, yet another game abandoned due to rain. There should be alternatives for the game to be played at another day or something, to fully abandon a game is terrible. Keeping the tournament at Australia now was such a bad idea https://t.co/HNbTeplhxx

Why have you scheduled the #T20WC2022 in #Australia rain is ruining the entertainment, you must have checked the weather conditions before scheduling it @ICC @BCCI
