After losing to the Western Australia XI in the second warm-up game, Rohit Sharma and Co arrived at the W.A.C.A. stadium for an afternoon practice session. It is where the youngster stood out among 100s of kids catching Rohit Sharma’s eye.
In a video posted on the Board of Control for Cricket in India website, the 11-year-old left-arm bowler discussed his meeting with the Indian skipper and said that his favorite balls to bowl were an inswinging yorker and an outswinger.
The Indian squad is currently in Brisbane where they are having their only practice session prior to Monday’s warm-up match against the hosts Australia. The spotlight will be on Mohammed Shami as he is taking the place of Jasprit Bumrah who was ruled out from the World Cup due to a back ailment.
India’s T20 World Cup campaign will get underway on October 23, against arch-rivals Pakistan. Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in their T20 World Cup matchup last year.
