How does Suryakumar Yadav train? – However, behind his phenomenal ability, lies his rigorous training sessions which made the job easier for him on the 24 yards. Yadav, who recently dropped one spot to No.3 in the T20 Rankings, admitted that he likes to put himself under pressure during the practice sessions to better his game.

“When I go back to Mumbai and do it, I try and put a lot of pressure on myself whenever I’m going for a few practice sessions or playing a match scenario or doing anything in the game,” Yadav explained to the Indian Express.

The Mumbai-batter, who notched up a half-century in India’s win over the Netherlands in the Super 12 clash, usually steps into bat at No.3 or 4. He mentioned that the situation can turn out to be tricky but his practice session helps him to deal with the situation with ease.

“The situation I go in to bat, there are always two scenarios in front of me – either the team has lost two early wickets or there are already good runs (on the board) and two wickets are down. If less runs are there, then I have to increase the tempo and if there are more runs, then I have to maintain that tempo. It’s simple,” he explained.

However, his real test will be against SouthAfrica on Sunday as India look to cement semifinal berth win a win at Perth.
