ICC T20 World Cup Starts – India at T20 WC: The ICC T20 World Cup begins todayafter a long wait of over 5 years. Oman and Papua New Guinea get the Twenty 20 World Cup underway with Qualifying Rounds, the group stage matches will begin from October 23 when Australia will take on South Africa.   • 7th Editon of T20 World Cup Starts: Originally scheduled to take place in Australia and then India, before being chased out of both by COVID-19, the seventh edition of the event begins with a double-header at the 3,000-seat venue outside Muscat.
  • Qualifying Rounds: Oman and Papua New Guinea get the Twenty 20 World Cup underway on Sunday.
  • Later Sunday, Bangladesh face Scotland before Ireland, Namibia, Netherlands and 2010 champions Sri Lanka join the fray on Monday.
  • Super 12 Round: The eight teams in the first round of qualifying are chasing four places in the Super 12 round-robin stage.
  • T20 World Cup Finals: The final will be played on November 24. West Indies are the defending champions as they lifted the T20 World Cup in 2016 beating England in the final.

Live streaming ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Star Sports Network is the official broadcaster for T20 WC 2021 in India and other sub-continent regions. The Star Sports broadcasting network will live telecast all action of the upcoming event starting October 17. The live streaming of the mega event will also be available on digital platforms courtesy Disney+Hotstar App in India and other sub-continent regions. Disney+ Hotstar will exclusively live stream the warm-up matches of the top eight teams at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

Reserve days in ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Yes, for both semi-finals and the final. No other matches shall have a reserve day allocated. For both the semi-finals and final, every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day with any necessary reduction in overs taking place. Only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match (at least 5 overs per side) cannot be bowled on the scheduled day will the match be completed on the reserve day. If a match starts on the scheduled day and overs are reduced following an interruption but no further play is possible, the match will resume on the reserve day at the point where the last ball was played.
