ICC T20 World Cup 2021: BCCI & ICC’s delegation to visit Oman to inspect venues ahead of WC – BCCI committed headed by secretary Jay Shah and ICC team headed by Chief Executive Officer will be visiting Muscat, Oman in this week to do a recce of the venues for Twenty20 World Cup later this year. BCCI will be hosting the ICC T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman.

According to Cricbuzz, the purpose of this visit to finalise the schedule and venues of the tournament.
ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Oman have qualified for the WC and will be playing their matches in Muscat at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground which is the only ICC approved ground in the country. The overall feedback on the facility is positive, however, how many matches can Oman Cricket Academy Ground host is the question that will be dealt with in this visit.
In the first round of the T20 WC, there will be 12 games including 8 teams – Sri Lanka, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Oman (Group A), Bangladesh, Scotland, Namibia and The Netherlands (Group B). After the qualifiers, the teams Super 12 round will take place. The ICC is yet to declare the schedule and venues but the WC starting from October 17 to November 14.
ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Oman Cricket Academy Ground, Dubai International Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be hosting the WC matches.
