ICC release Women’s T20 World Cup Warmup match schedule

Women's T20 World Cup: After revised match schedules, ICC releases dates for warm-up matches for the Women' T20 World Cup

The ICC has finally announced the warm-up match schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The India women’s Cricket Team will take on West Indies and South Africa in their preparation for the tournament. As per the ICC, all the warm-up matches will begin on 28th September and conclude on 1st October.

A total of 10 teams will take part in the tournament. And all the teams will play their warmup matches before the mega tournament starts. Each side will play 2 matches against their opponent in the United Arab Emirates who will be hosting the tournament after the venue got shifted from Bangladesh.

Minimum Age: 18+
Minimum deposit: ₹500.

Wagering requirement: 40x (deposit + bonus)

Women’s T20 World Cup Warm-up Schedule

Every side will be able to field their 15 members and thus these matches won’t be treated as International T20 matches. Furthermore, no two sides from the same group will play against each other in these warmup matches.

Warm-up fixture schedule:

  • 28 September, Saturday, Pakistan v Scotland, Sevens, Dubai
  • 28 September, Saturday, Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, ICCA1, Dubai
  • 29 September, Sunday, New Zealand v South Africa, Sevens, Dubai
  • 29 September, Sunday, India v West Indies, ICCA2, Dubai
  • 29 September, Sunday, Australia v England, ICCA1, Dubai
  • 30 September, Monday, Sri Lanka v Scotland, Sevens, Dubai
  • 30 September, Monday, Bangladesh v Pakistan, ICCA2, Dubai
  • 1 October, Tuesday, West Indies v Australia, Sevens, Dubai
  • 1 October, Tuesday, England v New Zealand, ICCA2, Dubai
  • 1 October, Tuesday, South Africa v India, ICCA1, Dubai.

The first warm-up match will see Pakistan taking on Scotland on 28th September while Sri Lanka will take on Asian rivals Bangladesh. On the very next day, Australia will face formidable foes England while Harmanpreet Kaur’s India take on West Indies.

The other day, the ICC released their revised schedule of the tournament. Owing to political disturbances in Bangladesh, the venue of the hosts got shifted to UAE.
