ICC on the hunt for new independent woman director as Indra Nooyi’s term ends

As per reports, Indra Nooyi's term, her third in the ICC, came to an end during the board's conclave in Colombo last month

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is looking for a new independent woman director after Indra Nooyi ended her association with the board. The former Pepsi & co CEO had joined ICC initially in 2018 for a period of two years and then went on to complete two more terms until 2024. As per Cricbuzz, her term came to an end at the recent ICC conclave in Colombo.

Indra Nooyi exits ICC

The report states that the ICC is looking for a suitable candidate who can fit the definition of an independent director. It added that an Australian woman is likely to replace Nooyi. The exit of the the former Pepsi and co. CEO means that the board now only comprises of 16 members instead of 17. The report states that the number of members will be crucial in the upcoming ICC elections.
