ICC drops pictures of Indian stars posing with ICC Champions Trophy after India ended 12-year ODI title drought

With it all done, Rohit Sharma and his team are now the Champions Trophy 2025 champions, and all the Indian players celebrated the moment!

It’s all done! After a 12-year wait, the ICC ODI trophy is coming back to India. The Indian men’s cricket team showcased their dominance by winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Thanks to Rohit Sharma and his team, who played exceptional cricket throughout the tournament, from excelling in the group stage to decimating Australia in the semi-final and finally securing a four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final.

The final, like previous matches, took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where Rohit Sharma played a crucial role by top-scoring for India with 76 runs off 83 balls. His stellar performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Rohit Sharma joins elite list of Indian captains with two ICC titles

Within 12 months, the Indian cricket team has secured two ICC trophies, thanks to Rohit Sharma, whose impact in white-ball cricket will go down in the golden books, or rather, it already has.

It was also India’s fourth consecutive ICC final in less than two years — from the WTC 2023 Final to the ODI World Cup 2023, both of which India lost. However, when it came to the T20 World Cup 2024, they dominated every team and emerged as champions. Now, they have triumphed in their third successive Champions Trophy final in Dubai on March 9, 2025.

Rohit Sharma became the first captain in international cricket to lead his team in the final of all four major ICC events. After MS Dhoni, he is now the second-most successful Indian captain.

Adding icing to the cake, the Indian players celebrated the victory in style. On one hand, Rohit Sharma was seen posing with the trophy while sitting on the pitch, and on the other, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya recreated Khaby Lame’s iconic pose, a gesture he had previously done after the T20 World Cup 2024 win.

In recently shared pictures by the ICC featuring players posing with the trophy, these priceless moments captured the joy of India’s triumph. Take a look at the memorable snapshots and see which player pulled off the best pose!
