India cricket team is likely to leave for Dubai on February 15 for the ICC Champions Trophy, as per a report. The marquee event will begin from February 19, with the Men in Blue all set to play their matches at a neutral venue (Dubai). India will take on Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand in their group stage matches.

As per a Times of India report, Rohit Sharma and co are likely to depart for Dubai on February 15. Clarity on the departure schedule for the team is expected in a few days. The report further states that India are unlikely to get any warmup matches ahead of their first game against Bangladesh on Feb 20. It is pertinent to point out that IND vs ENG ODI series concludes on February 12 in Ahmedabad.

In a parallel development, it has been confirmed that there is no need for Rohit to travel to Pakistan for the captains photoshoot and press conference. This means that the Indian skipper will travel to Dubai with the rest of the side. Meanwhile, the opening ceremony for CT 2025 has been moved from Karachi to Lahore. Renovation works in two out of the three stadiums that will host matches is still ongoing and the venues are yet to be handed over to the PCB and the ICC. With just 19 days left for the start of the touney, Pakistan will be racing against time to ensure timely completion of the projects.
