ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings – Top 5

India on 12 Match Winning Streak in T20 Internationals: India have been in brilliant form in the format. They have won all of their 12 Internationals post the disappointment at ICC T20 World Cup in UAE.

India have seen off New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka on home turf. After Rohit Sharma took over from Virat Kohli following the global event last year – India hasn’t lost a single T20 Game.

England are on second place with 265 rating points. Pakistan round up the top three with 261 rating points.

South Africa, ranked fourth, have made a jump of one spot – maintaining their old rating points (253).

T20 World Cup champions Australia could only finish 5th in the Annual update of ICC rating points (251).

New Zealand have dropped two places to No.6, losing five rating points (250). West Indies (240 points) remain on the seventh spot.

Bangladesh (233 points) and Sri Lanka (230 points) have both gained one position in the chart to occupy the eighth and ninth positions respectively. Afghanistan have dropped down two places, rounding out the top ten after losing six rating points (226).

Portugal are the biggest overall gainers in the annual update, gaining eleven points (54). This has seen them jump five places in the charts, moving up to the 45th position.

Overall, the number of ranked teams has dropped down to 72 from 91, with each team being required to play a minimum of six rated matches since May 2019.

ICC Annual Test Rankings: India were a good nine points behind Australia in the annual Test rankings released by ICC on Wednesday

Australia, who beat England 4-0 in the Ashes in January, have moved from 119 to 128 rating points in the annual update that drops the 2018-19 season and reflects all series completed since May 2019.

ICC Annual ODI Rankings: In the updated ODI rankings, New Zealand remain on top but their lead over England is reduced from three to one point.

The gap between England and third-placed Australia has increased from seven to 17 points.
