‘I look so stupid and a fool’: Virat Kohli reveals his great fear

Virat Kohli: A multifaceted cricketer emerges. While the "King" conquers runs on the field, a human fear of turbulence reminds us that even the greatest athletes have their vulnerabilities.

Virat Kohli, the indomitable force on the cricket pitch, has a surprising confession: a fear of turbulence. In a recent social media video with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Kohli admitted to being “very scared of turbulence.”

Virat Kohli has fear of flying

This revelation comes amidst Virat Kohli’s phenomenal run in the ongoing IPL 2024 season. Despite his self-described fear of flying, Virat Kohli has been a pillar for RCB, even in their recent loss against Rajasthan Royals.

His exceptional knock of 113 runs off just 72 balls, including 12 boundaries and four sixes, showcased his batting prowess.

Virat Kohli in a social media video with Royal Challengers Bengaluru said:

“I am very scared of turbulence. Oh my god, I look so stupid and like a fool. Whenever there is a bad turbulence, I am the first guy to hold the sides of the seat. So I feel like, I am the gone”

Virat Kohli: Beacon of Hope for RCB

Virat Kohli’s stellar form has been a bright spot for RCB in the early stages of the IPL. With 316 runs in five matches, including two half-centuries and a century, the 35-year-old maestro has anchored a sometimes-fragile batting line-up.

Strike rate debate and T20 World Cup hopes

While some critics have questioned Virat Kohli’s strike rate, particularly in light of the upcoming T20 World Cup, his aggressive approach in the IPL cannot be ignored.

Even legendary cricketer Brian Lara included Kohli in his top 3 picks for the World Cup batting line-up.
