India’s young destructive opener Jashasvi Jaiswal had a game to remember. The southpaw slammed a 24-ball fifty which earned him the Man of the Match award. While he was blamed for dismissing his partner in the previous game, Jaiswal made amends with his brilliant fifty that paved the way for the India Cricket Team to post a massive total of 235 runs on the board.
“It was really special for me. I was trying to play all my shots. Was trying to be fearless. I was sure of my decisions. I have been told by Surya bhai and VVS sir to go and play freely. I have been asked to express myself. For me, what I think I can develop and not think about anything else,” said Ruturaj Jasiwal after the match.
“I am still learning. It was my mistake in the last game and said sorry to Ruturaj. Accepted was my mistake. Rutu bhai is so humble and very caring. I really worked on my fitness. I am trying to develop all my shots. The mental stuff is something I am working on. I believe in my practice sessions,” Jaiswal concluded.
The youngster is keen to prove his worth in the team and finalize his name in the India squad for the World Cup. Jaiswal has claimed that the win and the award were special for him. He tried to be fearless and in doing so wanted to play all his shots. The young batter further claimed that SKY and VVS Laxman had their utmost confidence in him and had given him permission to fully express himself while batting.
But the job is not over. Jaiswal has claimed that he intends to develop and perfect his shots. He is also keen on working on his mental progress. Furthermore, Jaiswal has acknowledged his mistake and claimed that Ruturaj Gaikwad had forgiven him for his mistake that costed the latter to be dismissed on diamond duck in the previous game.
