Former Pakistan cricketer Bazid Khan took a dig at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for crying foul over Haris Rauf playing in the BBL 2023 while resting their premium pacer for almost a same cause in the PAK vs AUS 3d Test. PCB first gave Rauf an NOC to play in the BBL after he decided to pull out of the Test series, only to lament about it on every stage possible later on.
PCB or Hypocrisy?
Unveiling their playing XI for the SCG Test, Pakistan decided to rest Shaheen Afridi, would would be leading the side in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand next. Taking a jibe at the PCB over resting the fiery pacer, Bazid Khan questioned the PCB’s logic in doing so, drawing a parallel with Haris Rauf’s case.
Many former cricketers, including Pakistan head coach Mohammed Hafeez, had lamented that it would have been better for Rauf to have played in the PAK vs AUS series, noting that his pace could have been well utilized by the side.
