What is PCB’s complaint to ICC?

The ICC is unlikely to take any action on Pakistan Cricket Board’s complaint for alleged boorish crowd behaviour during their World Cup game against India in Ahmedabad since the ambit of the anti-discrimination code is restricted to individuals and does not cover group.

More than one lakh fans watched the action unfold at the Narendra Modi Stadium and only three Pakistani-American fans were in the stands to support the players from the neighbouring nation.

Pakistan’s Hypocrisy

While Pakistan has called out the BCCI and complained the the ICC about the lack of support in the IND vs PAK World Cup clash, fans have slammed the neighbouring country for doing the exact opposite.

Pakistan’s national football team won a World Cup qualifying game for the first time on Tuesday, beating Cambodia 1-0 in Islamabad to advance to the second round.

After the first leg in Phnom Penh finished 0-0, a half-volley from Harun Hamid was enough to secure victory at Jinnah Sports Stadium in a first home game for Pakistan since 2015.

In fact the player went on to claim that they were provided with footballs that were as hard as a stone during the practice. Naturally, the fans were unhappy with Pakistan’s behavior and went on to slam the country for its alledged hypocrisy.
