As per the report, Wasim Akram turned down the offer as he was a permanent resident of Karachi and would be forced to shift base to Lahore if he accepted the role. His frequent visits to Australia is also one of the reasons he provided. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi reportedly presented his roadmap for the future of Pakistan cricket.
