The Zimbabwe cricket team has caused a few upsets in international cricket. Whether it be beating Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in 2022 or Australia in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. However, it is also true that over the past few decades, their cricket progression has seen a dip, and the main reason observers feel is the poor management by the Zimbabwe Cricket Board.
The cricketers have been seen struggling to get proper cricket equipment and have not been able to secure sponsors, facing many financial struggles. Although they get paid by the board, since the India cricket team has been traveling to play five T20Is, there is excitement over how the Zimbabwe Cricket Board will manage their payments for representing their country.

Money is Not Enough!
Zimbabwe cricket has undoubtedly struggled, especially due to the ICC ban from 2003 to 2011. And that ban is still referred to as the black years for the Chevrons due to not meeting ICC eligibility criteria. That ban severely affected Zimbabwe cricket. Although a few players like Sikandar Raza and Craig Ervine enjoy good salaries as they are both under Grade X. But it is also true that poor board management and dirty politics have been issues there, which have consistently affected salaries. However, since things are getting back on track, we can expect changes in the future.
