Captains get banned for the slow over rate in third offense in the tournament. The captain is again fined, this time for INR 30 lakh and is handed over a match ban as well for slow over-rate.

How much is slow over rate penalty in IPL

Each team is anticipated to finish their bowling inning within a strict time limit of 90 minutes.

In this scenario, the team’s captain has to give a fine of Rs 12 lakh. Only, the skipper gives the penalty fee, no other players or team members.

For the second instance in a season, the captain of the bowling team will be fined 24 lakhs, while the other 10 players will either be fined six lakhs or 25% of their match fees.

For the third and each subsequent offense in a season, the captain of the bowling team will be fined 30 lakhs and will also be banned for one match. Additionally, the other 10 players in the team will face fines of 12 lakhs or 50% of their match fees.
