What happened at Eden Gardens stadium?

Late on Wednesday night, a fire started in the dressing room at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens. The incident occurred during renovations before to the World Cup 2023, which will begin on October 5.

The first people to notice the fire were those who were employed there. After receiving immediate notification, the fire department quickly dispatched two engines to contain the situation.

According to reports, the fire started in the false ceiling of the changing area, where the cricket players’ equipment was housed. All of the players’ possessions were burned, despite the fact that the damage was not severe.

World Cup 2023

India is all set to host ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in October-November this year. With the schedule out, ENG vs NZ will mark the beginning of the WC on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India will face Pakistan at the same venue on October 5. Rohit Sharma & Co will begin the tournament against Australia in Chennai on Oct 5.
