Bangladesh has never won the Asia Cup despite reaching the final twice, in 2012 and 2018. They lost to Pakistan in 2012 by the barest of margins (2 runs), while they tasted defeat at the hands of India in 2018 by just 3 wickets.
Bangladesh has participated in 12 out of the total 13 editions of the Asia Cup. The Bangla Lions made their Asia Cup debut in 1986, missing out on the inaugural edition in 1984, and have been present ever since.
