Just like IPL 2024, the upcoming edition will also have ten teams.

The buzz for the IPL 2025 is reaching on another level with the IPL mega auction set to take place later this month. The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction was set in motion after the 10 IPL teams announced the names of the retained players. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are the defending champions of the IPL 2025 and will look to retain their title in the upcoming edition.

The IPL 2025 start date is not confirmed as yet. However, the IPL 2025 is likely to be held in between the month of March and May next year.
