The Indian women’s team started the one-off Test against their Australian counterparts with a bang, as after opting to bat first, the latter lost two wickets within the first three overs, with the score reading 9-2. Once again, India displayed some exceptional fielding with Jemimah Rodrigues effecting an early run out.
She combined with Yastika Bhatia, to remove opener Phoebe Litchfield for a duck. Thereafter, Pooja Vastrakar castled Aussie Elysse Perry for four, to give the team an early advantage.
Team India’s Fine Form with Ball
Last week, in their mammoth 347-run win over England, the Indian team had dismissed the opposition twice cheaply. In the first innings, the visitors were bundled out for 136, while in the second they could only score 131. Deepti Sharma had ended up claiming nine wickets in the match.
