India’s young batting sensation Shubman Gill put an end to his run drought on Sunday after scoring a brilliant century on Day 3 of IND vs ENG 2nd Test at Vizag.
Gill, who didn’t have a single fifty in 13 Test innings, slammed his third Test ton to silence his critics.
After India’s comfortable win over England on Day 4, Gill revealed that he was disappointed to not make a big hundred.
“I was trying to get a big one for myself and for the team, because, you know, with the kind of cricket that England has been playing, we wanted to get to 450 or closer to 500. So it was a bit disappointed. But hopefully I’ll get it in the next match”, Gill said on JioCinema.
Gill didn’t took the field on Monday after he injured his index finger while taking a catch at slip on Day 1. The 24-year-old said that he took injections before coming out to bat.
“I took an injection in the morning. But, you know, once you are in, you don’t really, you don’t really feel the pain. Hopefully in another 3-4 days and it will be completely fine,“ Gill revealed.
