India Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma has finally arrived in Perth. The Hitman missed the IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth following the birth of his second child. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah is leading the visitors in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. But now, Rohit will once again take charge after reaching Down Under.
Rohit Sharma departed for Australia the other day, and after a long journey has finally reached and landed in Perth. The primary objective for Rohit would be to resume his practice.
Rohit Sharma to captain India
From 30th November to 1st December, India A will play a 2-day warmup match against Prime Ministers XI in Canberra. It remains to be seen if Rohit would play a part in the game to get some much-needed practice on Australian soil.
After the Perth Test, the India Cricket Team will continue to take on Australia for the Pink Ball Day and Night Test in Adelaide. Rohit will once again take the reins of the team to lead the charge for the visitors.
As for himself, Rohit Sharma needs to step up. Like Virat Kohli, Rohit too has been subjected to criticism for his poor performances of late in Test cricket. He would be desperately keen to set the record straight with a power-packed performance in the remainder of the Test series.
