If there was one positive for Pakistan, during the recently concluded Test series, was the advent of Aamer Jamal, who not only picked 18 wickets, but ended with 143 runs, including a fifty as well. But the Test find for Pakistan, Jamal, failed miserably when it came to the New Zealand T20Is.
In the first match of the series in Auckland, on Friday, Jamal ended with figures of 0/56 in his four overs, at an economy rate of 14. This mediocre show, happens to be the third-most expensive spell by a Pakistani bowler, in the shortest format.
The first two on the list are Shahnawaz Dahani (62) and Mohammad Wasim (61). Moreover, till now, Jamal has had a torrid time in all the T20Is he has played. In five matches, he has picked up only one wicket so far, at an average of 146.
