History made! Golden boy Shubman Gill smashes the 100th IPL hundred

The 59th match of the 2024 IPL season between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) witnessed a night of phenomenal batting feats

In what was a scintillating display of batsmanship, Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill racked up his fourth IPL century. In a must-win clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the ‘Prince’ of Indian cricket mustered a superb 55-ball 104. It wasn’t just his sixth T20 ton, but it marked the historic 100th hundred in the tournament’s history.

This achievement comes almost two decades after Brendon McCullum kickstarted the IPL with a belligerent 158 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
