In what was a scintillating display of batsmanship, Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill racked up his fourth IPL century. In a must-win clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the ‘Prince’ of Indian cricket mustered a superb 55-ball 104. It wasn’t just his sixth T20 ton, but it marked the historic 100th hundred in the tournament’s history.
This achievement comes almost two decades after Brendon McCullum kickstarted the IPL with a belligerent 158 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
