Second child on his way: AB de Villiers confirms Virat Kohli spending time with pregnant wife Anushka

During a YouTube Live, AB de Villiers told his followers that Virat Kohli is spending time with his family, adding that the second child is on his way.

Former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers, who share a close bond with Virat Kohli, confirmed on Saturday that the star Indian cricketer and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child.

During a YouTube Live, De Villiers told his followers that Virat Kohli is spending time with his family, adding that the second child is on his way.

“All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else”, AB de Villiers said in his YouTube show.

AB de Villiers revealed his text message exchange with Virat Kohli and confirmed that the star couple are expecting their second child.

“So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you for a while now biscuits. How are you?’. He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.’.

“Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that,” he added.

Notably, Kohli has pulled out of the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons. His availability for the third Test is also doubtful.
