Him again? Travis Head once again India’s nemesis, slams 100 at Adelaide to take 2nd IND vs AUS tie away

Against India, Travis Head has scored 1515 runs at an average of 44.55 and at a SR of 76.20 across formats.

What a trailblazing batter he is! Travis Head has once again damaged India, this time in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). Indian fans fear the knocks Head has played at the WTC 2023 Final and at the ODI World Cup 2023 summit clash. And now, he has just continued his love affair against the Men in Blue, dazzling a stylish hundred at his beloved Adelaide Oval.

Travis Head toys with Rohit Sharma & Co.

India were desperate to restrict Australia to under 200 runs on Day 2 after they managed just 180 runs in the first day. However, Head toyed with Rohit Sharma’s men quite brilliantly, hammering his third day-night Test cenutry in just 111 balls. When Marnus Labuschagne got out after fifty, Indian fans hoped that they could run through the Aussie lineup. But Head, who was out on a King Pair in his last Pink Ball game, hammered the Indian bowlers all over the park.

Harshit Rana, in particular, bore the brunt of his attack, getting smashed for 41 runs off just 29 balls. Ashwin, meanwhile, leaked 39 runs. In total, Head mustered 13 boundaries and as many as three sixes to torment the Indian team. He single-handedly destroyed the hope factor for the visitors.
