Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali, is popular for his unique celebration after picking up a wicket. However, fans were left surprised when he didn’t celebrate picking the priced wicket of Babar Azam in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023. The Pakistan skipper was dismissed for 11 by Hasan Ali during a match between Colombo Strikers and Dambulla Aura on Saturday. After dismissing Babar Azam, Hasan Ali did not celebrate in his usual way and instead smiled at Babar Azam as he walked past him.
After the match, Hasan Ali revealed why he didn’t do his signature celebration after taking Babar Azam’s wicket. He explained that he has the utmost respect for Babar Azam, who is not only his teammate but also his skipper. “He is our king and my skipper, so there is always a respect element and that’s why I didn’t celebrate,” Hasan Ali said.

Hasan Ali further added that getting Babar Azam out in the circle was a massive celebration for him. “We know he can change the game anytime,” Hasan Ali said. Babar Azam has been in staggering form in the LPL and is the tournament’s leading run-scorer. He is also the only centurion in LPL 2023 so far.

Convincing win for Dambulla Aura in LPL 2023
Talking about the game, Hasan Ali’s Dambulla Aura registered a convincing 50-run win over Colombo Strikers in a crucial game of the LPL 2023. Colombo Strikers were bowled out for a mere 116 in the chase of 167.
Dambulla Aura are currently top of the table with 10 points, while Colombo Strikers are languishing at the bottom of LPL 2023 Points Table with 4 points in 6 matches.
