Indian senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken a hilarious jibe on the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s bowling. Speaking in an award ceremony, Bhuvi said that Kohli thinks he is the bowler in the team because of his unique action. This is not the first time when a teammate has made fun of Kohli’s bowling. Earlier, veteran Zaheer Khan had also said that Kohli thinks he is a ‘Deceptive’ bowler which is quite not the case.

We are always scared that he might get injured due to his action: Bhuvi on Kohli
“Virat Kohli thinks he’s the best bowler in the team. We’re always scared when he bowls as he could get injured due to his bowling action,” said Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Interestingly, Kohli has a total of eight wickets in the international arena, four each in T20Is and ODIs. One more fun fact about his bowling that he is the last bowler for India to take a wicket in knockout matches of the T20 World Cup. Kohli had taken the wicket of Johnson Charles during the 2016 T20 World Cup semifinal in Wankhede.
Meanwhile, BCCI on Monday announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. Virat Kohli who was last seen in the action during India tour of West Indies will be once again carrying a lot of Indian hopes as he gears up for the marquee event. Team India is set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening clash and will want to start the tournament with a victory.
Since the last concluded Asia Cup where he broke his century drought, Kohli has been in remarkable form. The right-handed batter had an excellent World Cup last year before he piled up runs in bilateral series and the Indian Premier League. With two major competitions coming up, Kohli is expected to play a huge role in India’s success in both Asia Cup and World Cup 2023.
