Team India batting coach Vikram Rathour heaped praise on KL Rahul after latter’s brilliant knock on Day 1 of the IND vs SA 1st Test in Centurion on Tuesday.
India were reeling at 107/5 when KL Rahul took the charge and stitched crucial partnerships with lower order to rescue the visitors.

Rathour lauded KL’s effort on a challenging pitch and said that the wicketkeeper-batter is turning out to be India’s man of crisis.
“He did what he does actually. He is turning out to be a man of crisis for us. Everytime there are tough situations, most of the time he is there. He is the guy who handles those situations really well”, Rathour said in the press conference after the day’s play.
“He was very clear with this game plan. Defended the right balls, attacked the right ones”, the batting coach added.
KL Rahul scored an unbeaten 70 to push India’s total to 208/8 before rain forced early stumps on the opening day of the Boxing Day Test. Apart from KL, Virat Kohli (38) and Shreyas Iyer (31) were the notable contributors on the first day.
