Harshit Rana impresses in Domestic Cricket

The 22-year old pacer recent got a call-up in the first 2 T20Is when India toured Zimbabwe after the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup.

In the previous game against India C, Harshit Rana managed to bag a four-fer. And similarly, in today’s game against India A, Rana too managed to bag a similar four-fer.

Shashwat Rawat, Shams Mulani, Prasidh Krishna and ultimately Aaqib Khan fell victims to Harshit Rana. But now, with his impressive performances in domestic cricket, it will surely strengthen his case to receive a call-up in Team India’s red ball set-up.

It is imperative that Harshit Rana is new to the system, but he is the type of bowler which Team India would love to have in their ranks. A typical hit the deck hard bowler who has the knack of picking wickets at regular intervals is what India needs. Furthermore, with the team slated to play 10 Test matches in the coming months, a good pacer reserve squad is paramount for the team’s success.
