While the entire England Cricket Team will be on a Abu Dhabi delight, Dan Lawrence will be busy. Lawrence who came in as a replacement for Harry Brook will play for Desert Vipers in the last two ILT20 2024 matches.
Desert Vipers roped in England batter Dan Lawrence. However, as he replaced Harry Brook, who returned home from Abu Dhabi camp after a death in his family, could not feature in ILT20 2024.
However, as Lawrence remains only a reserve batter, he will utilise the 10-day break to play in ILT20 instead.
More on IND vs ENG Tests
In ILT20 2024, Desert Vipers have played eight matches so far, winning three and losing five. Desert Vipers occupy fourth spot in the points table with the race to ILT20 playoffs heating up for the remaining spots.
With Desert Vipers needing to win both matches against Dubai Capitals and Sharjah Warriors, Dan Lawrence will be a valuable addition.
However, other England players with an ILT20 contract including Joe Root, Mark Wood, Rehan Ahmed and Zak Crawley won’t be taking part. They will enjoy the break instead. England lost in the IND vs ENG Vizag Test to leave the series locked at 1-1.
