India women’s cricket team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and batter Shafali Verma climbed a few spots in the ICC rankings for T20I batters after their show so far in the Women’s Asia Cup. The duo have played a crucial role in India’s unbeaten journey so far in the marquee tournament.
While Smriti Madhana retains the number 5 spot, Shafali and Harmanpreet occupy the 11th and 12 spots, with the former seeing a four-place jump after the initial leg of the Asia Cup.

Priyadharshani has three wickets from Sri Lanka’s two matches at the event and has improved three places to be fourth on the updated list for T20I bowlers, while Prabodhani jumps four spots to 30th following her two scalps in her side’s clash against Bangladesh.
