The BCCI announced the India Squad for the upcoming India vs Bangladesh T20I series. With the Test squad getting some much needed rest before the IND vs NZ Tests, places are up for grabs in the India Playing XI. Ace all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to face tough competition from Nitish Kumar Reddy against Bangladesh.
Both Hardik Pandya and Nitish have similar attributes which means that both can’t play simultaneously in the side. Furthermore, the inclusion of Shivam Dube makes it even difficult for both the players to play together. While India’s pace attack looks new and novice, Arshdeep Singh will spearhead the attack.

Shivam Dube can roll out his arms if the situation demands. Hardik Pandya will obviously be the second pacer and the third pacer’s spot will be up for grabs. But Nitish Kumar Reddy coming with the backing of a strong IPL 2024 campaign will desperately fight for his place in the team.
Nitish Kumar Reddy had a strong outing with the bat in IPL 2024, but wasn’t that great with the ball. Now this is one place where Hardik Pandya triumphs. Albeit a poor IPL campaign, Hardik Pandya was one of the standout performers who helped India clinch the ICC T20 World Cup at Barbados.
With the seniors missing out, Nitish would be keen to try out for his place in the team. Hardik Pandya, now no longer the captain of the T20I squad, will also be keen to prove his worth, especially ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
India’s squad for 3 T20Is against Bangladesh: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, JItesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav
