As per reports, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has informed the BCCI that he will skip the upcoming series owing to personal reasons

Star India cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya will reportedly skip the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. As per reports, Pandya has informed the BCCI that he will miss the series owing to personal reasons. However, he is set to captain the side for the T20Is following which he will return home.

The all-rounder was a part of the T20 World Cup winning Indian side and played a crucial role for the team throughout the tournament.

Hardik Pandya has already informed the Indian cricket board about his availability for the Sri Lanka series and he will be returning home after playing the three T20Is. There are no injury concerns whatsoever and he is completely fit. He wanted the leave due to personal reasons and has been granted the same,” says a source tracking developments, as per News18.

There has been a lot of speculation around Hardik Pandya’s marriage ever since IPL 2024. While his wife Natasa Stankovic has not been spotted with him for the last three months, the all-rounder has chosen to remain silent over the matter. Further, his wife was not a part of the massive roadshow in Vadodara where HP received a hero’s welcome from a crowd of over 3 lakh people.

IND vs SL ODI series

The ODI leg of the IND vs SL series starts on August 2nd, with the remaining matches scheduled for the 4th and 7th. All matches will be telecast live on Sony Sports Network and streamed on SonyLiv here in India.
