The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises on Sunday, November 26 announced their list of released and retained players after the deadline ended. The 10-team tournament will see the IPL 2024 auction taking place on December 19 in Dubai. In an unexpected anti-climax, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya has been retained by the franchise. Earlier, it was reported that the all-rounder was set to return to Mumbai Indians in the biggest IPL trade transfer but the IPL 2022 champions have retained him in the squad. It is important to note that Hardik can still be traded as the trade window will stay active till 12 December.
GT have released West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph. Indian pacer Yash Dayal, who was smashed for 5 consecutive sixes by Rinku Singh in the game last season, has also been let go by the franchise. With that, Gujarat Titans have Rs 13.85 Cr left in their purse.
