Hardik Pandya relief for India as MI skipper finally finds bowling rhythm ahead of T20 World Cup

Hardik Pandya sizzled with the ball in the game against SRH at Wankhede stadium, finishing his spell with figures of 3/31

Mumbai skipper Hardik Pandya seems to have finally regained his form when it comes to bowling. The all-rounder bowled an economical four-over spell against SRH. Pandya’s return to bowling well comes at a good time for India, especially with the T20 World Cup 2024 fast approaching.

Good news! Hardik Pandya shines with the ball

First, Hardik Pandya managed to get rid of the dangerous Nitish Kumar Reddy. He then struck in the first delivery of the 16th over as he dismissed Shahbaz Ahmad. In the same over, the MI skipper castled Marco Jansen to pick his third wicket of the night. The MI skipper also bowled a variety of deliveries, ranging from 141 kmph to 114 kmph during the course of the innings. He finished his spell with figures of 3/31 at an economy rate of 7.75 .

Unlike the earlier games, Hardik did not open the bowling but opted to bowl in the middle overs. Needless to say, his economy indicates that he fared extremely well bowling in that particular phase of the game.

So far, Hardik Pandya has taken nine wickets in IPL 2024 and has an economy rate of 10.76. What was worrying prior to this game was the all-rounder’s form with the ball and the implications it could possibly have on India at the T20 World Cup. It is to be noted that Hardik will play a crucial role in providing the much-needed back-up for India’s pace attack at the marquee event.
