Before Team India’s warm-up match at the T20 World Cup in 2024, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya arrived in New York to join the national team. Pandya, who did not accompany the initial group of Indian players to the United States, took to social media to share pictures of him training with the team.
Hardik joins Team India after months
After the 2023 ODI World Cup, this will be Hardik‘s first assignment with the national team. During the World Cup match against Bangladesh, Hardik slipped on his bowling mark and hurt his ankle. The all-rounder skipped series against Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan and directly joined the Mumbai Indians bandwagon in IPL 2024. After experiencing a terrible time with MI, Pandya will be hoping to turn things around.
Solo travellers galore
Hardik Pandya is not the only Indian to travel alone to USA for the T20 World Cup 2024. Solo travelers that have connected with the Indian team in New York include Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh. Indian stalwart Virat Kohli is expected to join the team in the coming days.
