India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made his return from injury at the DY Patil T20 Cup, picking up two wickets in the game

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made his return from injury at the DY Patil T20 Cup. He picks up two wickets on his return to the sport after being injured since the ODI World Cup 2023.

Hardik Pandya makes emphatic comeback

Playing for Reliance 1, Pandya opened the bowling and picked up 2 for 22 from his three overs. Hardik suffered an ankle injury in the World Cup match against Bangladesh while bowling. While initially he was supposed to return during the World Cup, the extent of the injury did not permit him. He missed the South Africa tour and now he will play directly in IPL 2024 ahead of T20 World Cup 2024.

Last week, Hardik Pandya reported back at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, undergoing match simulations as part of fitness assessment. Having cleared the fitness tests, he has begun preparations for IPL 2024 with DY Patil T20 Cup.

The T20 tournament also includes big names like Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tripathi.

Hardik Pandya will lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 after a sensational move back to his first franchise. He replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI captain.
