The Gujarat Titans captain scored close to run a ball, assessing the conditions well waiting for his moment to strike. He stood his guard even as wickets fell around him to guide his team to safety. Hardik got to his fifty in only in 44 balls. He chose his moment to strike very late, taking Ravi Bishni on in the 18th over of the innings.
The all-rounder picked up 2 sixes and a boundary to put GT on course to get to 135. Hardik himself managed 66 of those, striking at an eventual strike rate of 132. It was his first fifty of IPL 2023, having missed out on big scores in the previous games.
