After being ruled out of the Cricket World Cup 2023 following an ankle injury, Hardik Pandya poured his heart out to all his fans in a heartfelt note. Pandya, who sustained an ankle injury while trying to stop the ball in his follow-up, was initially ruled out of the four games. However, the all-rounder will not only miss the ODI World Cup but is probably going to miss the entire 2023 season.
Expressing his feelings about missing a home World Cup, Pandya wrote, “Tough to digest the fact that I will miss out on the remaining part of the World Cup.”
“I’ll be with the team, in spirit, cheering them on every ball of every game. Thanks for all the wishes, the love, and the support has been incredible. This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud. Love, always, HP ❤️🇮🇳“, the all-rounder continued, vowing his unwavering support to the whole Team India and thanking his fans for their love and wishes.

Hardik Pandya’s replacement?
So, who’s filling in for Hardik Pandya on the Indian cricket team? They’ve chosen Prasidh Krishna, who’s not been in the game for too long. The people in charge of the tournament gave the green light to this change on Saturday.
Prasidh Krishna has played in only 19 white-ball matches for India. His most recent time playing for the national team was just before the World Cup. In that match, he did well by taking the important wicket of David Warner and ended up with a score of 1/45 from nine overs against Australia.
Even though Prasidh Krishna has shown promise with 33 international wickets, he’ll have to compete with some really good players like Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj for a spot in India’s fast bowling attack. It won’t be easy, but we’ll see how he does.
