Hanuma Vihari suffering for ‘last 3-4 years’, says friend & ex-Delhi batsman Robin Bist

Andhra batsman Hanuman Vihari has played 16 Tests for India scoring 839 runs, at an average of 33.

After an unpleasant episode with Andhra teammate Prudhvi Raj, India batsman Hanuma Vihari just seems to have kickstarted a series of accusations, and counter-accusations, bringing to light, all that’s wrong with the Andhra Cricket Association. But besides, all that’s happening, the 30-year-old has been receiving a lot of support from the cricket fraternity.

Now, his friend and fellow cricketer, Robin Bist has jumped out in his defence. In an interview with Mirror Now, he opened up on how things have been this bad in the ACA, for three-four years, and how Vihari has bee targeted.

“These kind of things have been happening with Hanuma for last 3-4 years in Andhra. Most of the selectors are against him. He is one of the most honest cricketers I’ve ever met. I don’t know what is wrong with the ACA,” Bist said.

“If I was to talk about his captaincy, I’ve never seen a better captain that him. He’s so good on the field, and will give his 200%. He wants every cricketer to do well for the team, and themselves as well,” he added.
